RESIDENCY IN MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPY

Marriage and Family Counseling Service announces openings for full-time residents (advanced intern) in marriage and family therapy for 2025 – 2026. 

ELIGIBILITY:
-An earned master's degree in marriage and family therapy.
-At least 500 hours of clinical experience in the practice of  therapy.
-At least 75 hours of supervision of the practice of therapy.

STIPEND:
-$25,000-$30,000 for 12 months; residents may remain for a second year.
-Major medical and dental insurance for residents available.
-$550 conference allowance plus paid registration and travel for the 2027 World
Family Therapy Congress (Australia).

SUPERVISION:
Supervision will be conducted by AAMFT Approved Supervisors and will be credited towards AAMFT Clinical membership or licensure.

STARTING DATE:
- A resident may begin as early as March 1 and no later than or September 1.

AGENCY:
Marriage and Family Counseling Service is a community sponsored resource for counseling and education in marriage and family life, serving Rock Island County (Illinois) and Scott County (Iowa).  The Service is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and derives its financial support from the United Way of the Quad Cities, gifts, grants from local institutions, and fee income.
